Blaine Stockslager Bitner

Hagerstown, MD – Blaine Stockslager Bitner, 83, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at NMS Silver Spring, MD.

He was born on April 30, 1934 in Breathedsville, MD to the late Lloyd Benjamin and Mary Rebecca Stockslager Bitner.

He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD.

He was employed by HL Mills, Grand Union and Community Market until his retirement.

He was a member of Calvary Temple Williamsport, MD.

He was also a member of FLRA Union.

Blaine is survived by his daughter Kimberly Constable and her husband Ed of Virginia; daughter Jennifer Reynolds and her husband Ron of Missouri; daughter Michelle Dawson and her husband Dwain of Pennsylvania; best friend Joan Miller of Maryland; sister Lucille Murray of Maryland; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister Dora Moats, and four brothers Stephen Bitner, Butch Bitner, Wayne Bitner and Wilbur Bitner.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating.  Interment will be in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Cemetery Lappans, MD.
