Dargan, MD – Cathryn May Staubs, 89, of Dargan, MD passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Reeder’s Memorial Home Boonsboro, MD.

She was born on August 12, 1928 in Dargan, MD to the late Joseph W. and Dortha E. Myers Giffin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Franklin Staubs in 2009.

She was a graduate of Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD.

She was a Homemaker.

She was a member of Burnside First Church of God Sharpsburg, MD.

Cathryn is survived by her daughter Cynthia E. Staubs of Dargan, MD; son Dwight E. Staubs, Sr. and his wife Pat of Greencastle, PA; grandchildren Dwight E. Staubs, Jr., Tracy A. McCluskey, Angie R. Kuhn, Victoria A. Webb, and Tyler Staubs; great grandchildren Caitlin, Jacob, Ashley, Dylan, Chase, and Kaylyn; great great grandchildren Ila and Everett; daughter in law Cheryl Staubs of Sharpsburg, MD; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by a son Keith Staubs, daughter Lisa Staubs and a brother Roland Giffin.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Burnside First Church of God Sharpsburg, MD on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating.  Interment will be in Samples Manor Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD.
