Hedgesville, WV- Charles Roger “Manny” Kilmer, 72 of Hedgesville, WV passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

 

He was born on December 15, 1944 in Gamber, MD to Anna Louise Hoke Kilmer of Hedgesville, WV and the late George William Kilmer, Jr.

 

He was a 1963 graduate of Hedgesville High School. 

 

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam.  He received a Commendation Medal.  He also was a member of the United States Air Force Wrestling Team.

 

Manny was a self-employed Carpenter. He was a master Carpenter and built numerous structures including churches, clubhouses, and vacation homes.

 

He loved wrestling, hunting and helping others in need.  He loved his family unconditionally as they did him.

 

He was a member of Tomahawk Christian Church Hedgesville, WV.

 

He was a former member of the Tomahawk Ruritan Club Hedgesville, WV.

 

Besides his mother he is survived by his Son Terry Kilmer of Martinsburg, WV; son Kevin Kilmer and fiance’ Melanie Locke of Martinsburg, WV; son Brian Kilmer and his wife Twila of Geogia; son Michael Jai Kilmer of Morgantown, WV; sister Joyce Kilmer and her special friend Jackie Tingler of Brunswick, MD; sister Julia Kidwell and her husband Jim of Hedgesville, WV; sister Faith Kilmer and her husband Joseph of Hedgesville, WV; brother Ronald Kilmer and his wife Pauline of Royce City, TX; 7 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

 

He was predeceased by a granddaughter Kirsten Kilmer.

 

The family will receive friends at the Tomahawk Christian Church 12896 Back Creek Rd. Hedgesville, WV on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The church will be open after 4:00 pm on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at Tomahawk Christian Church Hedgesville, WV on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 10:00 am with Pastor Lee Ashley and Pastor Christian Jorgensen officiating.  Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.  Military honors will be provided by Joint Base Andrews Honor Guard.
