I worked with Chris at Citi these past few years. Never met in person...too many miles apart. He was a great man to work with...always willing to listen and take the time to help where he could. We found a common interest when he found out my husband and I pastor a Church of God here in Waycross, Georgia. He is the only person I've worked with that has attended the Church of God (that I'm aware of). There is comfort in knowing he is with our Savior, and I pray the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, will comfort his wife, daughter, and all family and friends during this time.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Christopher's wife, Courtney, his daughter, Allison, his brother, Mitch and sister-in-law Diane, and to all his family and friends on the unexpected death of Christopher. We have known Christopher since he was a little boy. His Mother Joan was our daughter Angela's babysitter at one time. Our son Jimmy Emerson and Christopher were classmates in school. It is heartbreaking to have the loss of such a young and vibrant person. May God bless all of you and may you feel his presence with you as you mourn Christopher's loss.

Courtney, Through your tears there will be laughter. I chuckle when I remember the hours we would spend on the phone when you first met Chris. The countless stories you'd share of what would become the beginning chapters of your life together. My deepest condolences to you and Allison. Love, Matt

Dear Courtney,

My deepest condolences to you, your daughter and the rest of your family for your loss. I just want you to know we are all here for you in any way you need so please don’t hesitate to reach out. One thought that has helped me in the past with my own personal losses that I wanted to leave you with is…know that he is just away but never away from your heart and your memories. Cherish those as that is the best way of honoring him and your love for each other.

I am sorry for your loss. I worked with Chris in the Test Center for many years, sitting across the wall from him for at least 3 years. Often talking about gardens and planting seasons. He was always full of life and compassion. My prayers go out to you and your daughter.
