Dallas Ray Jamison

Sharpsburg, MD – Dallas Ray Jamison, 84, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home.

He was born on February 28, 1933 in Sharpsburg, MD to the late William Edgar and Mary Amelia Ely Jamison.

He was a 1951 graduate of Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD.

Dallas was employed by Mack Trucks, Inc. of Hagerstown, MD as a Committeeman and Inspector until retiring in 1991.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War.

He attended Sharpsburg Bible Church.

He was a member of Mediary Lodge #140 AF&M Williamsport, MD, 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite of Freemasonary, Life member of McClellan Gun Club, and Life member of Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM Williamsport, MD.

He was a Chief Instructor for Hunter Safety and Education courses, managed the Dargan Deuces, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Vonda L. Churchey Jamison and several nieces and a nephew.

He was predeceased by two sisters Pauline Marshall and Doris Gay and one brother Junior Jamison.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Mt. View Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. John D. Sumpter officiating.
