Martinsburg, WV – David Lee “Dave” Werdebaugh, 80, of Martinsburg, WV and formerly of Williamsport, MD passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Hospice of the Panhandle Care Center Kearneysville, WV.

 

He was born on August 17, 1937 in Big Pool, MD to the late Henry Washington and Fannie Mae Fogle Werdebaugh.

 

He was a graduate of Hedgesville High School Hedgesville, WV.

 

He was employed by Redland Brick Williamsport, MD for 35 years until his retirement.

 

Dave was a member of Calvary Temple Williamsport, MD where he served as a Deacon.

 

He was also a member of AARP.

 

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Patricia Ann Higgins Werdebaugh; daughter Jeannie LeBre of Martinsburg, WV; daughter Cheryl Ann Clipp and her husband Roy of Boonsboro, MD; daughter Patricia Peterson and her husband Donald, Sr. of Greencastle, PA; son David Ralph Werdebaugh of Williamsport, MD; son Daniel Lee Werdebaugh and his wife Carla of Fort Loudon, PA; brothers William Werdebaugh and Douglas Werdebaugh; 27 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son in law Steven John LeBre and a brother Alfred Werdebaugh.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Elder John Price officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Friday from 1:00-2:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.
