Douglas Edward Concovia

Williamsport, MD – Douglas Edward “Doug” Concovia, 78, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his home.

He was born on June 12, 1938 in Martinsburg, WV to the late Edward Gordon and Edith Mae Myers Concovia.

He owned and operated Douglas Fuels of Hagerstown, MD for many years.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Hagerstown, MD.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of  Hagerstown Lodge #217 AF&AM, Ali Ghan Shrine, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and BPOE #378 Elks of Hagerstown, MD.   He was also a Coach with CSL Youth Athletics.

Doug enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, camping and traveling.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Marie Pscolka Concovia married May 14, 1955; daughter Sherri J. Wiley and her husband Timothy K. of Martinsburg, WV; daughter Lori L. Hardy of Shepherdstown, WV; son Brian D. Concovia of Williamsport, MD; sister Wanda Wright of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren David Hammersla, Jared Higman and wife Amanda and Emily Concovia and seven great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a grandson Daniel Higman.

A memorial service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 6:00 pm with Rev. Father George Limmer officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A masonic service will be provided by Hagerstown Lodge #217 AF&AM at 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.  Burial will be private.
