Dear Joann,
So sorry to hear of Doug's passing. He was always an energetic spirit on his visits to the commissioners' office, full of ideas and plans. He was a great chef and such a gracious host. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time in your life. May you find comfort in your loving memories of your husband of so many years. We miss you in Bedford.

What a blessing to have known Doug! He was a very knowledgeable man and loved to have lengthy discussions. He helped me with the exterior design for the renovation of my drapery shop, although scaled down to my budget. He loved to help others and expected nothing in return. My prayers go out to the family for your loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joann and family. Bedford County is a better place because of his efforts. A good friend. He was an excellent host as was Joann. So glad we were able to visit them in Southern Pines. He was enjoying life and was a tour guide throughout Pinehurst and surrounding communities. Rest In Peace.
