E. LaRue Stenger

Williamsport, MD – E. LaRue Stenger, 83, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her home.

She was born on June 27, 1933 in Williamsport, MD to the late Charles Harvey and Ruth Indiaola Wolford Byers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Lindbergh “Lindy” Stenger in 2004.

She was a graduate of Williamsport High School.

She was employed by Williamsport Elementary Cafeteria as a Cook for 14 years.  She also worked at Williamsport Redmen, Williamsport Nursing Home and Washington County National Bank.

She was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church Williamsport, MD where she was also a member of the Cradle Roll and the Choir.

She was an avid Maryland Terrapins Fan.

LaRue is survived by her son Lindy Stenger of Hagerstown, MD; son Mickey Stenger and his wife Amy of Hagerstown, MD; granddaughter Laura Zeigler of Hagerstown, MD; granddaughter Gretchen Stenger of Hagerstown, MD; grandson Darin Stenger of Hagerstown, MD; grandson Dwight Stenger of Hagerstown, MD; grandson Nickolis Stenger of Hagerstown, MD; great granddaughters Addison and Emerson Zeigler; sister Gloria Cole of Williamsport; sister Faye Abbott of Texas; sister in law Shirley Rider of Asheville, NC

A memorial service will be held at Williamsport United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Susan Boehl officiating.  Interment will be private.
