Edgar Thomas Mills, Sr.

Clear Spring, MD – Edgar Thomas Mills, Sr., 74, of Clear Spring, MD passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at his home.

He was born on May 9, 1943 in Clear Spring, MD to the late Harold James and Helen Marie Carbaugh Mills.

He was a 1961 graduate of Clear Spring High School Clear Spring, MD.

He was employed by Blake Construction of Washington, D.C. for 33 years until his retirement.

Edgar was a member of Bedford Chapel Warfordsburg, PA.

He loved going to antique tractor shows, woodworking, fishing, and bingo.

He was a Little League Coach at Conococheague Little League in the 70’s.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Bessie M. Mills; son Edgar T. Mills, Jr. and his wife Robin of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Tina M. Tressler and her husband George of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren Nicole, Ashley, and Jacob; great grandchildren Collin, Marissa, Bryan, and Kaitlyn; sister Frances E. Hart of Clear Spring, MD; sister Patricia A. Henson of Clear Spring, MD.

He was predeceased by brothers Amos H. Mills and H. Albert Mills, sisters Susan R. Bussard Hornbaker, Mary A. Rankin, Lizzie M. Hutzler, Gladys M. Mills, Sarah M. Mills, Emma M. Reger, and Verda Mills, and a great grandchild Christian Grace Halteman.

Graveside services will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Carl Sipes officiating.
