Gilbert Clayton "Butch" Malone

Hagerstown, MD – Gilbert Clayton “Butch” Malone, 69, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Boonsboro, MD passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on February 5, 1949 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Homer Clayton and Dorothy Lee Waldron Malone.

He was a 1969 graduate of Albert Einstein High School in Kensington, MD.

Butch was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam.

He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Rockville Crushed Stone/Aggregate Industries until his retirement in 2009.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Butch is survived by his wife of 45 years Deborah Wease Malone; daughter Kerry McKean and her husband Josh of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Kelly Malone and her partner Kyle Thomas of Fairplay, MD; son Kyle Malone of Hagerstown, MD; grandson J. Wyatt McKean of Hagerstown, MD; sister Sandra Kuhns of New Windsor, MD; nephew Tom Wimmer and his wife Jeannie of Hagerstown, MD; niece Dori Thaxton of Hagerstown, MD; numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister Connie Grogg.

There will be no viewing.
