Howard Lane Myers

Williamsport, MD – Howard Lane Myers, 77, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on November 6, 1938 in Fairplay, MD to the late Russell Sprecher and Edith Jane Dellinger Myers.

He was a 1957 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

He was a Carpenter with D.L. Baer Construction of Hagerstown, MD until his retirement.  He was previously employed with Blake Company.

Howard was an avid hunter.  He loved the Orioles, Redskins and car racing.

He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Boonsboro, MD.

He was also a member of IORM Conococheague Tribe #84 Williamsport, MD.

He was a longtime baseball coach for Williamsport Post #202 American Legion Baseball and spent countless hours working on the field.  He was a huge supporter of all Williamsport Area Athletics.

Howard was survived by his wife of 55 years Connie May Myers; daughter Kim Palmer and her husband Roy of Williamsport, MD; daughter Tammi Bricker and her husband Rich of Williamsport, MD; loving grandchildren Tiffany, Chris, Dylan and Hailey and two great grandchildren Camden and Ryder; sister Dolores Smith of Hagerstown, MD; sister Sandra Semler and her husband Richard of Fairplay, MD; brother John W. “Jack” Myers and his wife Caroline of San Antonio, TX.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Anne Weatherholt officiating.  The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:00-2:00 pm.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
