James Lexington Mumma

Williamsport, MD – James Lexington “Jimmy” Mumma, Sr., 74, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at his home.

He was born on February 2, 1943 in Funktstown, MD to the late William Stanley, Jr. and Catherine Ann Hoke Mumma.

He attended South Hagerstown High School Hagerstown, MD.

He was employed with Potomac Edison for 42 ½ years until retiring in 2003.

He was a member of Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM Williamsport, MD, Potomac Fish & Game Club Williamsport, MD, and Potomac Post #202 Sons of the American Legion Williamsport, MD.

Jimmy enjoyed playing golf, riding his golf cart, and spending time at the river.

He is survived by his wife Roberta Ann “Bobbi Ann” Gladhill Mumma whom he married April 4, 1969; son James Lexington “Jimmy” Mumma, Jr. and his wife Lori of Williamsport, MD; brother William S. “Butch” Mumma, III of Blanco, TX; brother Grayson A. “Pee Wee” Mumma of Florida; granddaughter Katelyn D. Mumma.

He was predeceased by a sister Jackie George and a brother Jerry Mumma.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Services and burial will be private at Rest Haven Cemetery Hagerstown, MD.
