Jane Elizabeth Zimmerman

Hagerstown, MD – Jane Elizabeth Zimmerman, 77, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her home.

She was born on December 14,1938 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Larkin Eugene and Blanche Iona Myers Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee “Donnie” Zimmerman, Sr. on May 13, 2016.

Jane was previously employed by Hagerstown Laundry.

She was of the Protestant Faith.

She loved bowling, bingo and spending time with her family.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, mother in law and a loyal friend to everyone.

She helped with the Cub Scouts and the North High Band for many years.

Jane is survived by her daughter Debra A. Smith and her husband Gregory of Hagerstown, MD; son Donald L. Zimmerman, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Hagerstown, MD; son Dennis W. Zimmerman and wife Trina of Hagerstown, MD; sister Frances “Franny” Miller of Hagerstown, MD; brother Floyd Jenkins of Hagerstown, MD; 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by numerous sisters and brothers.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kibreab Gudeta officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
