Janet DeSantis

Bunker Hill, WV– Janet DeSantis, 76, of Bunker Hill, WV and formerly of The Villages, FL and Homewood of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at her home.

She was born on February 10, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harry F. Sr.. and Jeanne Roberts Smart.

She was a 1959 graduate of Levittown Memorial High School in Long Island, NY.  She was also a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Manhattan, New York.

She was an avid Pickleball player and swimmer.

She was employed as a Manager with IBM for 18 years until her retirement.

She was of the Protestant Faith.

Janet was survived by her husband of 55 years Nicholas DeSantis; daughter Susan Packett and her husband Randy of Fallston, MD; daughter Kathy Millner and her husband Rick of Bunker Hill, WV; daughter Joanne DeSantis of Hagerstown, MD; brother Harry F. Smart, Jr. of Kingston, RI; sister Katy Pereira of Fredericksburg, VA; 11 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 (noon) at the Williamsport Community Building on Saturday, October 28, 2017 with Pastor Jeffrey Shull. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 11:00 am – 12:00 (noon).
