Janet Marie Hartman

Hagerstown, MD – Janet Marie Hartman, 52, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Danville, VA passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on October 15, 1964 in Baltimore, MD to Donald Oral Sylvia of Wallace, WV and the late Shirley Aretta Montgomery.

She was a graduate of Longwood University where she received her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.

Janet worked as a Teacher at Schoolfield Elementary in Danville, VA.

Besides her father she is survived by her daughter Jennifer Hartman currently serving in the US Army in Missouri; sister Barbara Fraley of Martinsburg, WV; sister Lois Sylvia of Hagerstown, MD; sister Donna Sylvia of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister Brenda Snowberger.

There will be no viewing.  Burial will be private.
