Jeanne Mary Koopman

Williamsport, MD – Jeanne Mary Koopman, 71, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at her home peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 29, 1946 in Astoria, NY to the late John and Patricia Barkey Walls.

She was a graduate of Sewanhaka High School Floral Park, NY and also Glen Cove School of Nursing in Glen Cove, NY where she received her LPN.

She worked as a Nurse at Prince George’s Hospital Center until retiring in 1995.  After retirement she worked at the Washington County Detention Center as a Contract Nurse.

She was of the Catholic Faith.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 50 years Charles C. Koopman; daughter Tina Koopman of Indianapolis, IN; daughter Kerrie Koopman and her husband Jason Kennedy of Williamsport, MD; grandson Justin Kennedy and his girlfriend Kendall Werner of Clear Spring, MD; granddaughter Breanna Koopman of Williamsport, MD; great granddaughter Karsyn Kennedy of Clear Spring, MD; sister Candy Walls of Elmont, NY; brother Brian Walls and his wife Regina of Floral Park, NY; beloved dog Wilson and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Wlliamsport, MD on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 6:00 pm with Chris Ciccarelli officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 8:00 pm.

Burial will be private at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery Flintstone, MD.
