June Anna Mae Monninger

Williamsport, MD – June Anna Mae Monninger, 95, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Sterling Healthcare at South Mountain Boonsboro, MD.

She was born on November 25, 1922 in Williamsport, MD to the late Richard Martin and Evelin Catherine Byers Silvers.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Arthur Monninger, Sr. on October 10, 1982.

She was previously employed by Maryland Ribbon of Hagerstown, MD.

She was a lifelong member of Williamsport United Methodist Church Williamsport, MD.

June was an avid duckpin bowler and loved throwing horseshoes, playing cards, spending time with her family and especially all of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Mary C. “Cassie” Griffith of Williamsport, MD; son Raymond A. Monninger, Jr. and his wife Rita of Williamsport, MD; sister Dorothy Gruber of Williamsport,MD; sister Jean Groff of Williamsport, MD; brother Richard Silvers of Williamsport, MD; brother John Silvers of Martinsburg, WV; granddaughter Shelley Ray Saber and her husband Tim of Chambersburg, PA; granddaughter Stacey Ray Dudley and her husband Eric of Williamsport, MD; granddaughter Shannon Ray Kehne of Fairplay, MD; great grandchildren Zach, Taylor Ray, Ryan, Brent, MacKenzie Ray, Delanie Ray, Brooke, and Julia.

She was predeceased by her brother Jack Silvers and her son in law Darrell M. Griffith.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Susan E. Boehl officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Saturday for the convenience of family and friends.
