Matthew Lee Nave

Keedysville, Maryland- Matthew Lee Nave-39 of Keedysville, MD passed away on Tuesday August 22, 2017.

Born in Hagerstown, MD on December 29, 1977, he was the son of Jerry L. Nave of Hagerstown, MD and Diana L. Gatrell Nave of Keedysville, MD.

He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School class of 1995.

He was a member of Christ Reformed Church of Sharpsburg, MD.

Matthew worked for many years for the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, MD as a maintenance mechanic and pipe fitter.  He was a certified welder and a jack of all trades and spent a lot of time helping his family and friends. He love the outdoors and hunting with his bow.  He loved his dogs Toby and Pebble.  Matthew was deeply loved by his parents and they have forever lost a portion of their hearts with his passing.  

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Alicia Hope Nave, his stepmother JoAnne Nave of Hagerstown, MD, a step brother Kris Lescalleet of Clear Spring, MD, a niece Mackenzie Lynn Ward of Keedysville, MD, Maternal grandmother Doris Gatrell of Sharpsburg, MD, aunt Linda Burker of Sharpsburg, MD and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister Jessica Leigh Nave, maternal grandfather Floyd “Buck” Gatrell, his beloved aunt Brenda Gatrell and paternal grandparents Charles F. and Reba Nave.

There will be no viewing and services and burial will be private.
