Williamsport, MD – Patsy Vianna Powell, 86, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Williamsport Retirement Center Williamsport, MD.
She was born on March 7, 1931 in Williamsport, MD to the late James Mansfield and Edna Virginia Jordan Wolford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Powell in 1990.
Patsy owned Pat’s Tavern in Williamsport, MD for 20 years which is currently 3rd Base Tavern.
She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church Williamsport, MD.
She was a past member of #59 Red Feather Council Degree of Pocahontas Williamsport, MD.
She was also a member of the Local Chapter of the Democratic Party.
Patsy is survived by her daughter Teresa Bachtell and her husband Doug of Smithsburg, MD; daughter Cathy Burk and her husband Clyde of Williamsport, MD; son James Powell and his wife Rose of Waynesboro, PA; sister Claudia “Petie” Smith of Smithsburg, MD; numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Diahann, Chip, Colby, Emmalee, Rachel, Katy, Molly, and 13 great grandchildren who lovingly called her Neeny.
She was predeceased by her grandson Patrick Bachtell, and three brothers William Wolford, James Wolford, and Gary Wolford.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Michael Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Saturday for the convenience of family and friends. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
