SERVICES FOR MR. WOLFORD HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY MARCH 16, 2017 AT 11:00 AM AT OSBORNE FUNERAL HOME.

 

Williamsport, Maryland- Paul Herbert Wolford, Sr., 85 of Williamsport, MD passed away on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center.

 

Born on February 17, 1932 in Hancock, MD, he was the son of the late Harry Grant and Marguerite Seville Wolford.

 

He served in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army.

 

He worked as a truck driver for Baker’s Driveway in Hagerstown, MD for many years and most recently worked as a painter for Washington County Hospital.

 

Paul was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church in Williamsport, MD and the Teamster’s Local #992 in Hagerstown, MD.

 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Rebecca Ellen Wolford, 5 daughters Debbie J. Hoffman of Hagerstown, MD, Robin E. Cool and her husband Shawn of Williamsport, MD, Penny M. Beaver and her husband Keith of Chambersburg, PA, Tonia Gore and her husband Al of Tarpon Springs, FL and Starlene Gurber and her husband Marc of Skokie, IL, 3 sons Paul H.”Petie” Wolford, III of Williamsport, MD, Robert C. Wolford and his wife Lisa of Payson, AZ and Paul H. “Buddy” Wolford, Jr. of Chicago, IL, 10 grandchildren Kristi, Noelle, Erin, Shayna, Taylor, Dalton, Michael, Shaelon, Charlie and Danny and 5 great grandchildren Liam, Grayson, Lucy, Emma and Everly.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Fayre “Bea” Gordon and 2 brothers Richard “Dick” Wolford and Harry “Buddy” Wolford.

 

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday March 13, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm.  For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open Monday at 9:00am.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at the funeral home at 11:00am with Rev. Susan Boehl officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD with military graveside honors provided by the Joint Veterans Council of Washington County and Marine Corps League of Hagerstown, MD.
