Phyllis Ann Metz

Hagerstown, MD – Phyllis Ann Metz, 79, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Julia Manor Health Care Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on December 7, 1937 in Hagerstown, MD to the late William Thomas Showe, Sr. and Laura Virginia (Kridler) Showe Wolfe.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert T. Mongan, Sr. in 2009 and her second husband Jerry G. Metz in 2015.

She was a Homemaker.

Phyllis loved animals especially dogs, her beloved bulldog “Mack”. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Bobby Mongan and his fiancee’ Tammy of Hagerstown, MD; son Jay Mongan and his wife Angie of Greencastle, PA; son John Mongan, Sr. of Hagerstown, MD; sister Arlene Boggs of Hagerstown, MD; sister Mary Walters of Williamsport, MD; grandchildren Amber, Candy, Eddie, Abbey, Whitley, and Lindsey; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother William T. Showe and a grandson John G. Mongan, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Services and burial will be private.
