Rev. Dr. Lawrence Leroy Rickard

Martinsburg, WV – Rev. Dr. Lawrence Leroy “Larry” Rickard, 70, of Martinsburg, WV went to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2017.

Born on February 9, 1947, he was the son of Marion F. Rickard of Williamsport, MD and the late Jane E. Rickard.  He was a graduate of Williamsport High School.  He was also, a graduate of Washington Bible College, graduating Cum Laude, and Bethany Seminary with a Master and Doctorate Degrees, graduating Summa Cum Laude each.

Dr. Rickard pastored churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia.  He pastored at Paramount Baptist Church in Hagerstown, MD, for over 25 years.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy (Benedict) Rickard, two sons, Brian Rickard of Hedgesville, WV and Stephen Rickard of Romney, WV; two daughters, Misty Mills of Martinsburg, WV and Joi Hilton, and husband Michael of Martinsburg, WV.  Also, four grandchildren, Kristen Elyard, Jason Mills, and Lily and Henry Hilton.

He was predeceased by his brother James E. Rickard.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Saturday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Paramount Baptist Church 13234 Marsh Pike Hagerstown, MD on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Bob Collins and Rev. Chuck Schroer officiating.

Private interment will be held at a later date.
