Rev. Frank Calvin Mays

Falling Waters, WV – Rev. Frank Calvin Mays, 86, of Falling Waters, WV and Jacksonville, FL passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on February 8, 1931 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Frederick William and Ruth Morris Mays.

He was a graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL with a Degree in Seminary.  He preached for over 50 years starting in Marlowe, WV where he was the first full time Pastor.  He continued his ministry in Winchester, VA, Springfield, VA, Norfolk, VA, Washington, DC, Lanham, MD, Shrewsbury, PA, Christ Church of Washington, DC and Jacksonville, FL.

He was a member of Assemblies of God Denomination.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Phyllis R. Mays; daughter Bonnie J. Mays of Jacksonville, FL; son Philip R. Mays of Oyster Bay, NY and three grandchildren Hayley, Casey and Landon.

He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Potomac Park Campground in the Tabernacle,11 Tabernacle Way Falling Waters, WV on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Olson and Rev. Kenneth Burtram officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Monday from 1:00-2:00 pm In the Tabernacle.

Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery Charlottesville, VA on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:00 am.
