Hagerstown, MD – Ronald Arthur DeVore, 70, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center Washington, DC.

 

He was born on October 13, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Homer Carl and Faye Estella Martz DeVore.

 

He was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School.

 

He worked for many years at Arnold Graphics and most recently at Hagerstown Kitchens until his retirement.

 

He was of the Methodist Faith.

 

He was a member of Beaver Creek Country Club and Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM of Williamsport, MD.

 

Ronald was an avid golfer and bowler, enjoyed trout fishing, playing cards with his granddaughters and was a devoted Maryland Terrapins Basketball Fan. He had a lifelong love of horseracing.

 

He is survived by his daughter Patti Rabette and her husband Todd of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Lynnette Potter and her husband Keith of Boonsboro, MD; granddaughters Caitlin Carter, Amie Martin and Cpl. Amber Potter currently serving in the USMC in the Middle East; brother Harold Ebersole; sister Lorraine Carder; brother Richard DeVore; several nieces and nephews.

 

He was predeceased by a sister Jane Bowman.

 

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Cindy Caldwell officiating.  Interment will be in Boonsboro Cemetery Boonsboro, MD.
