Russell David "Dave" Shifflett, Sr.

Hagerstown, MD – Russell David “Dave” Shifflett, Sr., 62, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was born on September 9, 1954 in Fort Meade, MD to Russell Amos and Virginia Mae Thomson Shifflett of Martinsburg, WV.

He was a graduate of South Carroll High School Winfield, Maryland.

Dave was a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of Martinsburg, WV.  He was a Christian songwriter and musician and he loved the Lord and his family.

Besides his parents he is survived by his wife of 42 years Rose M. Kelley Shifflett; son Russell David Shifflett, Jr. and his wife Wendy of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Carrie Ann Joe and her husband Kevin of Hedgesville, WV; grandchildren Shannon Shifflett, Breanna Joe, Olivia Shoop, Allyson Shifflett, Cade Shifflett and Alex Joe; brother Stanley Shifflett of Hanover, PA; sister Kathy Hughes of Taneytown, MD; sister Carol Harless of Martinsburg, WV; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Charles Donivan and Rev. Charles Conley officiating.  Interment will be in Manor Cemetery Tilghmanton, MD.
