Williamsport, MD – Sheri Ann Evans, 47, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

 

She was born on May 26, 1970 in Takoma Park, MD to Margaret A. McCord Woods of Hagerstown, MD and the late George W. Woods.

 

She was a 1988 graduate of Williamsport High School and received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Marketing from Frostburg State University in 1992.

 

Sheri was employed as the Marketing Director at Somerford of Hagerstown, MD.

 

She was a Certified Geriatric Care Manager.  She was also a water safety instructor for the Red Cross.

 

She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church.

 

She served on the Leadership of Washington County CARES.  She was active and passionate member of the Alzheimer’s Association.

 

Sheri enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, knitting, gardening, and running.

 

Besides her mother she is survived by her husband Brian K. Evans whom she married on June 5, 1993; daughter Alexis A. Evans at home; son Nicholas K. Evans at home; sister Jackie Taylor and her husband Brent of Saint James, MD; brother Chad Woods and his wife Lauren of Cincinnati, OH; sister in law Kari Evans of Williamsport, MD; nieces and nephews Spencer and Emily Taylor, Olivia, Carter, George, and Corinne Woods, Clay Seibert; special friends Susie, Todd, and Jacob Miller; and her faithful dog companion “Bella”.

 

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.

 

A celebration of life service will be held at Rehoboth United Methodist Church on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Michael Bennett officiating.
