Theresa June Hose

Fairplay, MD – Theresa June Hose, 97, of Fairplay, MD passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at her home.

She was born on May 2, 1920 in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Evers Raleigh and Julia Grace Harsh Ambrose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Thomas Hose, Sr. in 1974.

She was employed by Washington County Courthouse Snack Bar until her retirement.  She was previously employed by Fairchild Aircraft Cafeteria, Washington County Hospital Cafeteria, and Gateway Nursing Home Cafeteria.

Theresa volunteered at the election poles at the former Conococheague Elementary School.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Temple Hagerstown, MD. Her church was a big part of her life.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Ann Ingram of Fairplay, MD; daughter Shelby Jean Mills and her husband Henry of Williamsport, MD; son Gilbert Thomas Hose, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren;and “a loving cat Simone”.

She was predeceased by a son Robert Franklin Hose and daughter in law Dorothy Hose; son in law Thurston Leon Ingram; great grandson Robert Rice.

Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Temple Hagerstown, MD on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Curtis King and Pastor Ed Hampton officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
