Thomas Earl “Tommy” Carter, II- 48 of Halfway, Maryland passed away on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Born in Hagerstown, Maryland on May 16, 1968, he was the son of the late Thomas Earl, Sr. and Betty Jean Olden Carter.

He was a graduate of Williamsport High School.

Tommy was the Captain at Boonsboro Ambulance and Rescue Service Inc. in Boonsboro, Maryland. He was very active in the fire and rescue service in Washington County for over 25 years.

He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and he enjoyed photography, playing softball, bowling and fishing. He was a member of the Sons of the Amvets Post#10 Hagerstown, MD.

Tommy is survived by his daughter Caitlin F. Carter of Halfway, MD, his longtime girlfriend Jen “Grimes” Bell of Maugansville, MD, a sister Brenda A. McNamee of Falling Waters, WV, a brother Denny N. Carter of Martinsburg, WV, special nieces Cassie A. McNamee-Shank and Graclin A. Carter and several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 South Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm. For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will open Tuesday at 9:00am.  

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the funeral home at 11:00am with Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in Boonsboro Cemetery.
