Fairplay, MD - George Frederick Stotler, 79, of Fairplay, MD passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.


Born, September 22, 1931 in Washington County, Maryland to the late Charles Lauren and Anna Mary Rudisill Stotler.


He attended Hagerstown High School and played Soccer in High School.


George was a self employed farmer for 30 years until retiring in 2000. He was the owner/operator of the Double T Lounge in Hagerstown, MD for 22 years. He also worked at Dixie-Narco Charlestown, WV and Fairchild Aircraft Hagerstown, MD. He also owned several rental properties in Washington County.


He was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church Williamsport, MD.


George was a member of Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM Williamsport, MD. He also bowled for Marquette Cement and played baseball and softball in Washington County for years.

Sister: Audrey Lowery of Ohio


Sister: Betty Flook of Hagerstown, MD


Brother: William Stotler of Boonsboro, MD


Brother: Howard Stotler of Keedysville, MD


Brother: Harold Stotler of Hagerstown, MD


Brother: Clyde Stotler of Fairplay, MD


Brother: Joseph Stotler of Boonsboro, MD

He was predeceased by one step grandson Dustin Smith, one son Jeff Stotler, four brothers Charles Stotler, Richard Stotler, Edgar Stotler and Robert Stotler and three sisters Doris Rutherford, Loraine Hargett and Marie Stotler.


The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.


Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. James E. Swecker officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
