Betty Lucille Hartman

Hagerstown, MD – Betty Lucille Hartman, 93, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Creekside Nursing Home Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on December 28, 1930, in Pinesburg, MD to the late Jacob E. and Grace A. Mentzer Teach.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perley A. Hartman in 1985.

Betty was a 1949 graduate of Williamsport High School.

She was employed by Radio Shack until her retirement in 2003.  She previously was employed by E.J. Fennel.

She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God Halfway, MD.  She loved the Lord and her family.

Betty was an avid reader and liked to knit.

She is survived by her son Robert Lee Munson and his wife Cathy of Boonsboro, MD; granddaughter Rachel Roth and her husband Michael of Williamsport, MD; grandson Jacob Munson and his girlfriend Amber Parks of Ijamsville, MD; great grandsons Grant and Ty Roth and Ashwyn Munson; great granddaughter Avery Winborne; brother Norman W. Teach and his wife Paula of Big Pool, MD.  She also helped to raise Belinda and Jordan Timberlake.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Ridenour and Naomi Keller; brothers Robert Teach, Evan Teach, and Jacob Elwood Teach.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 11:00 am with Pastor Shawn Bushman officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 am.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
