Boonsboro, MD – Carroll Preston “Buck” Cronise, 83, of Boonsboro, MD walked into the arms of Jesus on March 15, 2024, at Sterling Care South Mountain in Boonsboro, MD.
He was born on April 20, 1940, in Boonsboro, MD to the late Leo Harvey “Mike” and Ardell Jeanette (Phillips) Cronise.
Buck was a 1958 graduate of Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, MD.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a Christian.
He was a member of Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro, MD. In his younger years, Buck worked with his father on the Cronise family farm and fruit stand, and Cronise Florist all in Boonsboro, MD. Later in life he worked at various warehouses in Hagerstown and Frederick such as Montgomery Ward, Commerce Electric, and Tri State Electric. He loved playing sports and was a member of the Boonsboro High School Soccer team and played softball for K & M Electric.
He is survived by his daughter Christi Dutrow of Sharpsburg, MD; son Mike Cronise and his wife Vanessa of Boonsboro, MD; grandson Travis Dutrow of Sharpsburg, MD; granddaughters Hattie Cronise and Abigail Cronise both of Boonsboro, MD; brother-in-law Gerald Metz of Boonsboro, MD; nieces Marcia Beall and Brenda Metz both of Boonsboro, MD and nephew Glenn Metz of Boonsboro, MD.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Shirley Metz.
A celebration of life will be held at Boonsboro Bible Church 6741 Old National Pike Boonsboro, MD 21713 on Saturday March 23, 2024, at 5:00 pm with Pastor Allen Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. If you plan to attend, the family requests that you please wear your favorite jeans and Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, or Boonsboro Warriors gear in Bucks honor.
