Betty Jean Kendle

Williamsport, Maryland-Betty Jean Kendle, 67 of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday August 5, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.

Born in Hagerstown, MD on November 13, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Lester W. and Catherine M. Grable Davis.

She was a 1969 graduate of Williamsport High School.

She retired from Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport, MD where she worked as a CNA for 13 years.  She was previously employed at Hagerstown Shoe Factory.

She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God in Hagerstown, MD and was also a member of Dixon-Troxell American Legion Post #211 Ladies Auxiliary Funkstown, MD.

Betty is survived by her husband of 47 years Dale E. Kendle, a son Scott E. Kendle and his wife Renee of Williamsport, MD, 2 grandsons Conner and Grayson and 3 sisters Mary Sprecher of Hagerstown, MD and Linda Patterson and Debbie Bond both of Williamsport, MD.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday August 15, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Virginia Avenue Church of God 17306 Virginia Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21740 with Rev. A. Paul Harne officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday from noon -1:00pm.  Burial will be private.
