Carmen Lee Canfield

Sharpsburg, MD – Carmen Lee (Snyder) Canfield, 72, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away as a result of a vehicle accident along with her husband Charles Edward “Butch” Canfield on Friday, November 1, 2019. She married her husband Butch on July 23, 1965.

She was born on May 25, 1947 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Ernest W. and Anna Rebecca Dick Barnhart.

She was a 1965 graduate of South Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD.

Carmen was employed by Lenox Distribution Center in Williamsport, MD until her retirement.  She also worked with her husband in the family business.

She was a member of Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren in Sharpsburg, MD where she was very active.  She was also a church group leader.

She loved crocheting, loved her animals, and spending time with her grandson Ty.

She is survived by her daughter Denise Lee Canfield and her fiance’ Michael O. Stivers of Sharpsburg, MD; son Brian E. Canfield and his wife Michelle Sharpsburg, MD and their son Ty and daughter Emma.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Mt. View Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 an with Brother Brad Graybill officiating.
