Cathy Diana Shaffer

Sharpsburg, MD – Cathy Diana Shaffer, 63, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center Winchester, Virginia.

She was born on August 8, 1955 in Linore, West Virginia to the late Elza Brian and Sally Canterbury Adkins.

She was a 1973 graduate of Oak Glenn High School New Manchester, West Virginia.

She was a Homemaker.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

Cathy was a devoted loving wife, mother, and Nana.  She loved cooking, flowers, sitting on the porch, and was friend to everyone.

She is survived by her husband Richard Lee Shaffer whom she married June 2, 1973; son Brian Lee Shaffer of Hagerstown, MD; son Christopher Brent Shaffer of Sharpsburg, MD; son Matthew Ryan Shaffer and his wife Kara of Martinsburg, WV; brother John L. Adkins of Chester, WV; brother Rodney B. Adkins of Sharpsburg, MD; grandchildren Jesse, Damien, Quinton, Braden and Kaylen.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Rick Adkins and Randall Adkins.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Gene Renner officiating.  Burial will be private.
