Corey Matthew McClure

Clear Spring, MD – Corey Matthew McClure, 24, of Clear Spring, MD passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Gaithersburg, MD.

He was born on February 6, 1995 in Martinsburg, WV to Christopher Thomas and Lisa Marie Hutson McClure of Clear Spring, MD.

Corey was a 2013 graduate of Clear Spring High School Clear Spring, MD. He had a strong passion for Soccer and played on the JV and Varsity Soccer Teams at Clear Spring High School all 4 years.  He also played on the High School Varsity Tennis team for 4 years.  He was named the Herald-Mail Soccer Player of the Year in 2012.

He was previously employed by Crown, Inc. of Hagerstown, MD.

Besides his parents he is survived by his sister Amanda R. Martin and her two sons Camdon Hovis and Kolton Hovis; girlfriend Savannah Atha; paternal grandmother Sheila Hollida and her husband Brent of Winchester, VA; maternal grandparents James and Debra Hutson of Halfway, MD; maternal great grandmother Delores Valentine of Hagerstown, MD.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Edward McClure.

Services and burial will be private.
