Daniel Martin Renner, Sr.

Sharpsburg, MD – Daniel Martin “Danny” Renner, Sr., 81, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his home.

He was born on February 15, 1936 in Sharpsburg, MD to the late Herbert Francis Sr. and Laura Hazel Griffith Renner.

He was a 1954 graduate of Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD.

He was employed by Mack Trucks, Inc. of Hagerstown, MD for 30 years until retiring in 1991.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Danny attended Sharpsburg Bible Church Sharpsburg, MD.

He was also a member of Amvets Post #10 Hagerstown, MD.

He volunteered at the Conococheague Sportsman Club for several years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, reading, mowing grass, and spending time with his family.

Danny is survived by his wife Judy G. Bussard Renner whom he married on April 4, 1958; daughter Cindy Linton and her husband Rick of Williamsport, MD; daughter Laura Miller and her husband Bill of Sharpsburg, MD; daughter Rose Hewett and her husband Jeff of Keedysville, MD; son Daniel Renner, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Martinsburg, WV; son Eric Renner, Sr. and his wife April of Sharpsburg, MD; sister Hazel A. Clark of Hagerstown, MD; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother Herbert Renner, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Gene Renner officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD.
