Donal Lee Newbraugh

Hagerstown, Maryland-Donal Lee Newbraugh, 82 of Hagerstown, MD passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 31, 2019 at his home.

Born March 9, 1937 in Berkeley Springs, WV, he was the son of the late Carl William and Naomi Elizabeth Rupenthal Newbraugh.

He was a 1955 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and a graduate of Hagerstown Junior College.  He served in the 167th Air National Guard in Martinsburg, WV.  He worked for 38 years for M.S. Johnston in Hagerstown until retiring in 2001.

Don was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Williamsport, MD for 46 years where he served as an Elder, was currently the Treasurer for the men of the church and served and chaired various committees.  He was a member of Mediary Lodge #140 AF&AM Williamsport, MD, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest #95 Hagerstown, MD, BPOE #378 Hagerstown, MD, Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM Williamsport, MD, South Mountain Rod and Gun Club Smithsburg, MD, Junior Order United American Mechanics Martinsburg, WV and a life member of AMVETS Post #10 Hagerstown, MD.

He is survived by his wife Pat Newbraugh to whom he married on June 6, 1959, daughters Karla Eckard and husband Greg of Chambersburg, PA and Myra Newbraugh of Hagerstown, MD, a granddaughter Patricia A. Fox of Chambersburg, PA, a sister Wanda Frye of Gerrardstown, WV and a brother Dale Newbraugh of Berkeley Springs, WV.

The family will receive friends on Monday June 3, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.  For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open Monday at 12 noon.  Masonic services will be held at 5:30pm on Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2019 at 11:00am at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church 10813 Donelson Dr. Williamsport, MD 21795 with Rev. Mark Sandell officiating.  Burial will be private.
