Donna Marie Lerch

Donna Marie Lerch went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 3, 2019 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD surrounded by her loving family.

 Donna was born in Martinsburg, WV on November 11, 1944 to the late Bernard Sylvester (Bunk) and Belle Marie Hill Otzelberger.

Donna attended Boonsboro Senior High School. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until 1990. She loved to travel, do cross-stitch, play bingo, camp and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member and Deaconess of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren for many years and later became a member of Buck Valley Christian Church in Warfordsburg, PA.

Donna is survived by her husband Donald L. Lerch Sr. of Warfordsburg, PA, her three children Gale Marie Crist and husband Richard of Myersville, MD, Pamela Jean Weddle of Brunswick, MD and Donald Lee Lerch Jr. of Springerville, AZ, three grandchildren Laura Marie Draper of Sharpsburg, MD, Danielle Nicole Warhurst and husband Cody of Fort Worth, TX and Brandon Lee Lerch of Williamsport, MD, five great-grandchildren Jeremy Warrenfeltz of Blacksburg, VA (attending  Virginia Tech) Larry and Sequoia Draper of Sharpsburg, MD and Camden and Cole Warhurst of Fort Worth, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Gastgeb of Boonsboro, MD, two Aunts Peggy Beeler of Boonsboro, MD and Phyllis Secrist of Martinsburg, WV as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Douglas Otzelberger.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 9, 2019 at 12 noon at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service from 11:00am-12 noon.  Burial will be private.
