Doris Elaine Fox

Hagerstown, MD – Doris Elaine Fox, 94, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at her home.

She was born on August 15, 1923 in Williamsport, MD to the late Charles Emmert Sr. and Hazel Mildred Margarette Flora Poole.

She was a 1942 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Wayne Fox in 1995.

Doris was employed as a Secretary by Fairchild Aircraft of Hagerstown, MD until her retirement in 1986.

She attended Calvary Temple Williamsport, MD.

She volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Washington County, Maryland.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Doris is survived by her great niece Tammy L. Palmer and her husband Billy of Hagerstown, MD; special caregiver Patsy Palmer of Williamsport, MD.

She was predeceased by four sisters Bernice L. Guessford, Lolita Wishard, Margaret Bishop, and Hazel V. Poole; and one brother Charles E. Poole, Jr.

Entombment will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating.
