Hagerstown, MD – Duane Edward Potter, 54, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Knoxville, MD passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
He was born on August 1, 1964 to Diane Elaine Saylor Potter of Martinsburg, WV and the late Elton Leroy Potter, Jr.
He was a 1982 graduate of Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, he served as a Mechanic.
Duane was employed by the Teamsters and drove for 30 years until his retirement.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
He was a member of Teamsters Local #992 of Hagerstown, MD and Morris Frock Post #42 American Legion of Hagerstown, MD.
Duane enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his mother he is survived by his son Tim D. Potter and his wife Kristi of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Cori M. Perkins and her husband Brandon of Elizabeth City, NC; sister Lori J. Reeder and her husband Gerald of Summerville, SC; brother Larry K. Potter of Charles Town, WV; grandchildren Brianna, Colton, and Ellie.
Private graveside services were held at Brownsville Heights Cemetery in Brownsville, MD.
