Williamsport, MD – Eleanor Madalene Smith, 70, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at University of Maryland Hospital Baltimore, MD.
She was born on May 16, 1948 in Clear Spring, MD to the late George Richard and Margaret Naomi Keyser Bloyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Reno Smith on October 10, 1996.
She was a 1966 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD.
Eleanor was employed by Duvinage of Hagerstown, MD until her retirement earlier this year. Prior to Duvinage Eleanor was employed with Statton Furniture in Hagerstown and also Montgomery Ward in Hagerstown, MD.
She was a member of Downsville Church of the Brethren Downsville, MD.
She enjoyed traveling and reading.
She is survived by her daughter Georgia L. Smith of Williamsport, MD; son Brian P. Smith, Sr. and his wife Sherry of Williamsport, MD; son Tom C. Smith and his wife Alisa of Williamsport, MD; son Timothy A. Smith and his wife Jill; sister M. Louise Shank of Williamsport, MD; sister Edna B. Hamilton of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren Brian Smith, Jr. and his wife Samantha, Kaylyn Smith and her fiance’ John, Kelsey Faith and her husband Derrick; great grandson Calvin R. Smith; her beloved cat “Smokey”.
She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy M. Little.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 am with James Funkhouser officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery Clear Spring, MD.
