Elsie V. Cooper

Keedysville, MD – Elsie V. Cooper, 88, of Keedysville, MD passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Sterling Care at South Mountain in Boonsboro, MD.

She was born on April 2, 1931 in Keedysville, MD to the late Victor R. Deagenhart and Mary Ellen Rohrer Deagenhart Seville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifton Cooper on March 29, 1983.

Elsie was employed by Londontown Corp.  in Boonsboro, MD for 25 years until her retirement in 1994.  After retirement she was employed with the Washington County Board of Education.

She was a member of Mt. Briar Church of God in Mt. Briar, MD.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Elsie is survived by her daughter Susie E. Leggett and her husband Bobbie of Keedysville, MD; daughter Doris M. Roberts and her husband Bill of Keedysville, MD; son Ernest E. “Butch” Witmer and his wife Cindy of Dargan, MD; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Debra L. Roberts, three sisters Margaret, Mary, and Agnes, and 1 brother Paul.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, December 27, 2019                     from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, December 28, 2019                      at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joseph Burdette, Sr. officiating.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery Keedysville, MD.
