Hagerstown, MD – George Joy Caprio, III, 58 loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at his home.
He was born on March 4, 1960 in Sarasota, Florida to George Joy Caprio, Jr. of Middleway, WV and the late Alvina Virginia Cipriani Caprio.
He was employed as a Journeyman Electrician for many years and was a Master of all Trades.
He was a member of Moose International.
George loved golfing and fishing and loved his family and friends dearly.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife of 17 years Diane L. Snyder Caprio; stepmother Miriam Diane Caprio; son George J. “Skip” Caprio, IV and his wife Alicia of Hedgesville, WV; daughter Amanda Lynn Wilson and her fiance’ Michael Sigler of Martinsburg, WV; daughter Angela Virginia Caprio of Inwood, WV; stepdaughter Michelle Wickless and her husband Anthony “Tony” of Boonsboro, MD; stepdaughter Hollie A. Hall and her husband Brian of Greencastle, PA; sister Annette Lovings of Hedgesville, WV; brother Michael Caprio of Shenendoah Junction, WV; special cousin Theodore “Ted” Caprio of Martinsburg, WV; mother of his children Linda K. Caprio Inwood, WV; grandchildren Jackson, Dylan, Colin, Anthony, Kaylie, Nolan, Abigail, Annabelle, Chase, Elizabeth, Lindsey, Adelynn, and Evan.
A memorial service will be held at Star of Hope Chapel 22 S. Artizan St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 6:00 pm with Pastor Douglas Forsythe officiating. The family will receive friends following the service from 7:00-9:00 pm.
Burial will be private.
