George Miller Hoover

Falling Waters, WV – George Miller Hoover, 79, of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on March 9, 1939 in Lydia, Maryland to the late Arthur and Dorothy Grace Semler Hoover.

He was employed by JJ Smith & Sons of Greencastle, PA until his retirement.

George was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany during Peacetime.

He is survived by his son George A. Hoover of Hagerstown, MD; son Joshua L. Hoover of Falling Waters, WV; daughter Brittany R. Hoover of Falling Waters, WV; son Benjamin D. Hoover of Falling Waters, WV; grandchildren Justin, Jared, Jacob, Hailey, Samantha, Katelynn, Chyenne, Ciera, Zack, and Owen; great grandchildren Makayla, Blake, Adalynn, Cainen, Lucas, and Oliver; sister Rose McDonald of Hagerstown, MD; sister Mary Warrenfeltz of Hagerstown, MD.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter Journee Kay Hoover, three sisters Virginia Hoover, Dorothy Deibert, and Jerrie Nicholas, and a brother Arthur “Bub” Hoover.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Services will be private.
