Grace W. Fischer

Hagerstown, Maryland-Grace W. Fischer, 91 of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Wednesday July 31, 2019 at Williamsport Retirement Village.

Born February 4, 1928 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary E. Mowen Duvall.  She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Fischer, Sr. in 2014 after 57 years of marriage.

She retired from the Anita Lynn Home in 2001 after 28 years and was previously employed by Porter Chemical and Gabriel Industries in Hagerstown, MD for 13 years.

She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God.

Grace is survived by her grandson Michael A. Fischer and his wife Denise and 2 great granddaughters Erika Fischer and Jordan Fischer all of Falling Waters, WV and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons Paul E. Fischer and William L. Fischer, Jr. and his wife Eileen and 2 sisters Daisy Marie Gearhart and Annabelle Wilson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday August 4, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.  For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open on Sunday at 1:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 5, 2019 at 11:00am at the Osborne Funeral Home with Rev. A. Paul Harne officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, MD.
