Harry William Mayle, Jr.

Williamsport, MD – Harry William Mayle, Jr., 60, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on October 5, 1957 in Baltimore, MD to Eula Belle Sharp Mayle of Marlington, WV.

He was a graduate of Patterson High School in Baltimore, MD.

Harry retired from the U.S. Army after 18 years. After his military retirement his most recent employment was as a Network Engineer at Ft. Detrick in Frederick, MD.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Harry enjoyed spending time with his family and working on computers and was a supporter of the Salvation Army for many years.

Besides his mother he is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Ludwig Mayle whom he married December 4, 1976; daughter Katrina D. Urban of Williamsport, MD; son Michael J. Mayle of Williamsport, MD; brother Douglas E. Mayle of Accident, MD; brother Randy M. Mayle of Oakland, MD; brother Robert W. Mayle of Marlington, WV; grandchildren James L. Urban, Austin E. Urban and Kara B. Urban; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son Christopher William Mayle.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:30-11:00 am.  Military honors will be provided by Joint Veterans Council of Washington County and Marine Corps League of Hagerstown, MD.
