Jane Rebecca Grove

 Hagerstown, MD – Jane Rebecca Grove, 79, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Doey’s House Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on January 16, 1940 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Irving Cornelius and Marie Adeline Rager Sellers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Grove on December 29, 2008.

She was a 1959 graduate of Anna Lalor Burdick Vocational High School in Washington, D.C. Her studies focused on Cosmetology.

Jane was employed by Townhouse Manor Apartments in Hagerstown, MD until her retirement. She was previously employed by Williamsport Nursing Home in Williamsport, MD.

She was a member of Willowbrook Seventh Day Adventist Church in Boonsboro, MD. She helped with the potluck dinners.

Jane was known for her great homemade bread.  She was also an accomplished seamstress. She made all of her children a handsewn quilt. 

She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and her dogs.

She is survived by her daughter Marie Elisabeth Miller and her husband Jamie of Clear Spring, MD; daughter Rebecca Ann Lorey and her husband Michael of West Carrollton, OH; son Christopher Lee Rolls and his wife Tracy of Jamestown, OH; daughter in law Connie Rolls of Princess Anne, MD; grandchildren Jena Proctor, L. Nicholas Rolls, Jordan Rolls, Jade Jessop, Alaina Griffith, Matthew Lorey, and Alyssa Lorey; great grandchildren Bentley, Emmitt, and Scarlett Proctor.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son Loren Rex Rolls; sister Joan Marie Pitsnogle; and two brothers Irving Cornelius Sellers, Jr. and Paul Leo Sellers.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 10:00 am-12:00 (noon). The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Manor Cemetery Tilghmanton, MD on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 2:30 pm with Michael Lorey officiating.
