Joel Marcotte Obituary

Joel Ashley Marcotte, age 69, died Wednesday, April 24, 2018 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Martinsburg, WV.

He was born and raised in New England. He served his Country honorably in the Vietnam War and maintained a close connection with his fellow service members up until the time of his passing. After leaving the service, he owned and operated a successful contracting business throughout the DC metro area.

Mr. Marcotte is survived by his children Joshua Marcotte, Ashley Dougherty Fuller, Colleen Shelton, her husband Ethan, granddaughter Emerson, his siblings: Judith Marcotte, Sr. Benigna, Daniel and Nancy Marcotte, Al Marcotte, Lucy and Ted Mottola, Kimberly Dow, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is remembered by his friends, especially Albert and Jane Rauth. A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date with his family in New England.
