John Denten Sowers

Hagerstown, Maryland-John Denten Sowers, 64 of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Tuesday June 25, 2019 at his home while listening to his favorite band Goose Creek Symphony.

Born in Hagerstown, MD on June 30, 1954, he was the son of the late John Leroy and Elta Mae Carter Sowers.

He was a 1973 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

He worked as a security guard for Fairchild Aircraft in Gaithersburg, MD and also worked at Mack Trucks in Hagerstown, MD.  He retired from the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD.

He was of the Protestant faith.

John is survived by 3 sons Ian Hobbs of Vancouver, WA, Wesley Hobbs of Hagerstown, MD and George Frumkes of Montana.

The family will receive friends on Monday July 1, 2019 from 10:00am-12:00 noon at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.

Graveside services will be held on Monday July 1, 2019 at 2:00pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Temple 147 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.
